Designed for extreme performance, this upgrade turbocharger is actually neither an upgrade nor a hybrid turbocharger.
All components of the turbocharger are of extremely high quality and made from the finest materials.
In addition to the compressor housing specially manufactured for this turbocharger, an exhaust gas housing made of high-strength stainless steel with a higher exhaust gas flow rate is used.
The latest technology is revealed under the housings.
The highlight is an extremely high-quality reverse-rotating Garrett GT2260S trunk assembly with a MAR-M exhaust gas wheel designed for exhaust gas temperatures of up to 1050 °C.
The compressor housing has been designed so that most of the tuning items available as accessories can be used.
For example, the electric Turbosmart blow-off valves fit the turbocharger without any modifications and can simply be attached to the holes provided for this purpose.
The intake opening in front of the compressor wheel is perfectly matched to the turbocharger and is supplied together with a matching inlet, which makes it easy to attach accessory intake systems.
The exhaust housing has an increased exhaust gas flow rate and has been specially manufactured for the high-quality Garrett fuselage assembly.
A 1050 °C stainless steel was chosen as the material. The duct routing is adapted to the performance and flow-optimized.
Another advantage: all downpipes fit to the outlet of the exhaust housing.
Special feature: you can keep your old turbocharger. This allows you to restore the vehicle to its original condition if necessary. This ultimately saves a lot of time and money. You do not have to buy a new and therefore expensive turbocharger.

General description:
The latest development within the Garrett POWERMAX Performance family. This stage 1 turbocharger is used to increase the performance of the well-known Audi and Volkswagen EA888 GEN3 MQB engine series. The POWERMAX turbochargers are completely newly developed turbochargers and produce a 17% higher flow than the standard Audi S3 and Golf 7R turbochargers. In addition to the Garrett GT2260S core assembly, the main features here are the new generation compressor housing with preparation for accommodating an optional speed sensor and the milled compressor wheels with improved aerodynamics and increased pressure ratio.
Compressorwheel:
All GTX compressor wheels are forged and milled from special high-strength aluminum alloys. This manufacturing process gives the turbocharger a particularly high level of efficiency. The particularly uniform wheel geometry also reduces any pulsation noise. You can recognize this by the X in the turbocharger designation.
Bearing:
The plain bearing optimized for this application is equipped with a 360° axial bearing.
Cooling:
The turbocharger is equipped with water cooling. It is connected via two side-mounted connections.
Turbine wheel:
The use of MAR-M as a turbine wheel material enables high exhaust gas temperatures of up to 1050 °C.

The maximum permitted operating speed for the stage 1 turbocharger is 185,000 rpm. Operating the turbocharger above this speed is at your own risk and can lead to failure of the turbocharger and therefore invalidate the warranty. To prevent overspeeding, we recommend the use of tachometer 781328-0003 (kit with speed sensor and indicator) or 781328-0004 (speed sensor).
