The factory-fitted central bolt is one of the biggest problems with the 1.8T & 2.0TFSI engine. This interface between the crankshaft and timing belt is too weak as standard and often leads to major engine failure.
This center bolt designed by Integrated and manufactured by ARP solves this problem.
Manufactured from aerospace grade materials, resulting in extremely consistent quality and strength. The center bolt increases the clamping force by over 10% and ensures a slip-free drive between crankshaft and timing belt.
Tightening torque:
Use a 13/16 " multi-tooth to tighten your new IE / ARP center bolt with red Loctite to 105Nm + 1/4 turn.
