The ARP cylinder head stud bolts are specially developed for BMW S50/S54 engines as used in the E46 M3 and other high-performance BMW models.
Manufactured from high quality 8740 alloy and heat treated to a tensile strength of 190,000 psi, these studs guarantee the extreme strength and durability required for high performance applications. This material exceeds even the highest aviation standards and ensures that the engine remains reliable even under extreme conditions.

ARP uses a unique manufacturing process in which the bolts are thread rolled after heat treatment. This achieves up to ten times the fatigue strength of conventionally treated studs. The studs are also centerless ground, which allows for uniform clamping force and perfect alignment of the cylinder heads - an advantage for precise and fast assembly.
