The forged pistons are recommended from an output of 300 hp.

Thanks to the high-quality aluminum alloy, the pistons are lighter, more stable, more temperature-resistant and can withstand higher loads than standard pistons.
All pistons are coated with a special Wiseco ArmorGlide coating.

The compression ratio is reduced to 8.8:1. This allows significantly higher pressures to be run than with the standard pistons. Even excessively high boost pressures of up to 3.5 bar are no problem with a sensible tuning and corresponding engine setup.

It should also be noted that the webs between the piston rings are 5-8 mm wide (instead of only 3-5 mm as with other pistons).

This is crucial at high boost pressure.
