These main bearing studs are manufactured to exacting tolerances, heat-treated, centerless ground and rolled to ensure consistent clamping force and durability. Only premium grade 8740 alloy is used with a tensile strength material of 190,000 psi, which is far superior to "aircraft grade" steel alloys.
