Hardened steel backing for improved bearing shell support

Elimination of flash plating on the back of the bearings to improve heat transfer through the bearings and maximize adhesion between the bearings and the housing

Enlarged ID chamfers on the bearing edges

Optionally with locating cams for steel connecting rods or without locating cams for series connecting rods
